Nothing tastes better than locally produced foods that are fresh and in season. We strive to bring out all natural goodness from the foods nature has bestowed upon us. For this reason, basic ingredients of our products sold in North America are produced locally.Shrimp caught in California and wheat grown in Oregon are used for Shrimp Flavored Chips, and we mainly use Snow pea grown in Canada to produce Saya-Snow pea Crisps and Snapea Crisps.

If all the necessary nutrients are to be obtained only from food sources, we need to consume a wide variety of foods. Over a long period of time, Asian people have developed a dietary tradition in which various types of food are consumed in small amounts. Calbee believes that we should reconsider a dietary habit in which only certain types of food are eaten to satisfy hunger and insufficient nutrients are supplied from dietary supplements.
"Peace of Mind"
Shrimp Flavored Chips is one example of our effort to provide peace of mind for our customers. Roasting process has successfully reduced the oil in this product to 20% of the amount conventionally used. With a new technology, our chips are ready to be digested quickly because they are already in the same condition as food digested in the stomach. This technology has been applied to the research and development of products that can be enjoyed safely by all age groups from infants to the elderly.
